Paint pumpkins at Children's Museum Oct. 25

ROCKLAND -- A series of half-hour programs involving families creating memories together will continue Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 2:45 to 3:15 p.m. at the Coastal Children’s Museum, 75 Mechanic St. The programs are led by junior volunteers Julia and Kiras. The next session will feature pumpkin painting. Each session in the series will explore science, art, music and more.

Aldersgate to host Trunks for Treats Oct. 27

ROCKLAND -- Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 15 Wesley Lane, hosts its annual free Trunks for Treats program for children through sixth grade Friday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 7 p.m. Costumes are encouraged for children and adults. There will be a silly haunted house, with creepy things to touch and sniff, but not to scare, as well as Halloween goodies.

Birdseed fundraiser orders due by Nov. 6

ROCKPORT -- Midcoast Audubon Society is holdings its annual birdseed fundraiser. Order by Nov. 6 by contacting Seedsale Sue atsschubel@tidewater.com subject BIRDSEED or 380-1370. Pickup is Saturday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at Plants Unlimited, Route 1.
