The Common Ground Country Fair is the signature event of the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association. This year’s event will run Friday through Sunday, Sept. 22 through 24, at MOFGA's Common Ground Education Center. Gates open 9 a.m. each day.

Otherwise, admission is $10 daily in advance, $15 at the gate; $8/$10 for those older than 64. Discounts of $2 are available for those who bicycle to the fair, as well as those who take the train from Unity or Thorndike.

Many of the participating advance sale outlets also sell the 2017 fair poster, illustrated by Dwight Gagnon of Benton and featuring three roosting Columbian Wyandotte chickens. In the Midcoast area, tickets are available at the Belfast Co-op and The Green Store in Belfast; Liberty Graphics; Good Tern Co-Op and Huston-Tuttle in Rockland; and Mac's Hardware, Unity.
