Rockland — Rockland Elks Lodge will present a 21-plus benefit Comedy Night Saturday, June 23, at 8 p.m. at the Rockland Elks Club, 210 Rankin St. No tickets will be sold at the door; they are available in advance for $15.

Tom Hayes, who fell into the Boston comedy scene in its ‘80s heyday along with such names as Stephen Wright, Lenny Clarke, Bobcat Goldthwait, Denis Leary and, later, Dane Cook and Louis CK, headlines. He has opened for such national acts as Jeff Dunham, Phyllis Diller, The Smothers Brothers, The Four Tops and The Four Seasons. Hayes’ comedy draws mixes self-deprecation with improvisational and interactive audience participation.

Joining Hayes this evening of comedy are Rob Steen and Steve Guilmette. Steen has been featured on several TV shows including “The Late Show with David Letterman”; and has been compared to Robin Williams due to his fast paced delivery and quick wit. Guilmette, who has competed in the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival, brings a raucous wit and everyman's sensibility to the national comedy scene.

All proceeds from this evening will benefit the Maine Children's Cancer program. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 594-9200.
