Our pet pick of the week is Cody, a very sweet female Briard. When this senior gal landed in a rescue, it was discovered that underneath her heavily matted coat she was suffering from a raging skin infection. Our partner rescue, Mutts and Mittens Manor, started her healing process and set her on her journey to a new home here in Maine. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the good folks at Yankee Clipper Pet Grooming, Cody received a soothing medicated bath and a very attractive trim.

Now that Cody is feeling and looking better, she is excited to find a new home of her own. We are learning more about this beautiful girl each day. Once she gets to know you, she is very affectionate and will roll over for the obligatory belly rub. As a senior dog, her giddyup and go may be a little slower, but don't let her age fool you, she still has plenty of pep, which will be even more evident when she's settled into her new home. If you are interested in Cody, stop by the shelter and learn more.

Yankee Clipper Pet Grooming & Supplies regularly donates staff time to help groom shelter dogs in desperate need of it. We couldn't be more grateful for their generous efforts. Every dog who returns from there not only looks, but feels, much better. Thank you, Yankee Clipper.
