College Next has openings for qualified students

Jan 15, 2020

College Next, the RSU 13 Adult Education program for college preparation, is still accepting students for the spring semester. Classes are Wednesdays, beginning Jan. 29 and finishing May 13.

In this course, students learn everything they need to while studying in college, including how to manage time, get financial aid, choose classes, and navigate the college ‘world’.

Students also explore careers of interest to focus their educational goals. Importantly, successful graduates earn three college credits from University of Maine at Augusta to put toward their degree. If desired, students can also register for skill building classes in mathematics and English scheduled the same day. Other than a materials fee, everything else is freely included in the program.

This is a program for students entering college for the first time, or returning to college to finish a degree.

Because class size is small, students can find the support and academic help they need from instructors and fellow students. All classes are held at UMA-Rockland Center on Wednesdays for thirteen weeks.
