Camden — The Maine Women's Collective Voices storytelling series will present “Call Me Pollyanna,” rescheduled from this winter, Thursday, May 24, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the downtown Camden Public Library.

Is there power in positive thinking, or is it looking at the world through rose-colored glasses? Does “the glass half full” philosophy create plusses or minuses? When does an optimistic approach pay off? Everyone is invited to enjoy a live, one-hour storytelling event addressing these questions, followed by a moderated Q&A.

Featured storytellers are Heidi Neal, owner of Loyal Biscuit Co.; Romano, a metalsmith, retailer and community nonprofit director; and Braestrup, community minister, chaplain and bestselling author. The panel will be moderated by Candace Vancko, retired college president of the State University of New York at Delhi) and Midcoast Women’s Collective.

The Midcoast Women’s Collective provides opportunities for local women of all ages to find and strengthen their individual and shared voices. The Collective Voices series is free and open to the public. For more information, visit
