Thomaston — More than 250 Central Maine Power customers were without power for a period of time March 13, according to the CMP Outage website.

The outage was reported at 10:23 a.m. and an estimate of noon was noted for the power to be back in service.

Eighty-seven customers in St. George and 171 in Thomaston were affected, with the Thomaston customers back in service at this writing.

Catharine Harnett, Manager of Corporate Communications, said the Thomaston outage was due to an animal on a wire. No explanation was given for the St. George outage.
