Camden — The Camden Public Library, 55 Main St., exhibits the work of the artist team Clarity, Robert and Su.Sane Hake, during the month of December. This year’s show, their eighteenth and final at the Camden Public Library, is entitled “Alchemy, The Soul of Our Work.” On Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m., Clarity hosts an artists’ reception in the library’s Picker Room.

“This being our last show, we are going to close the door open with an alchemical completion,” Clarity said. “Alchemy, the force of the dot swallowed by the space of the circle, squared by the corners of connection, [and] creating a new perspective, the Alchemical Child, the Feminine Voice.”

At the reception Clarity will speak about alchemy, which they describe as “the arc of our work that includes the elemental womb of color, the inner process of change, and the trianary relationship of elemental courage.” They continue, “The Alchemical Child is the resurrection of the Female Voice, a pivotal force of feminine power, the Origamic Womb. The Mercurial Goddess of the Lunar Waters is wedded to the Solar gift of color, witnessed by Salt, thus generating the Alchemical Child.”

The reception will also include performance art, music by Gabrielle’s Sound, and refreshments. The intuitive singer Andrea Goodman will “sing the radiance of the Alchemical Child.”

Robert and Su.Sane Hake have painted together for the past 30 years. “We both work on each piece at the same time,” the Hakes explain. “This collaborative style has become the hallmark of our work. First thought, right thought! We never edit our work — we allow it to flow to the canvas. Like music, we listen to the sounds of the piece as it presents itself to us. Our art is considered visionary, outsider, folk, mystical, mythic, sacred and alchemical.”

For those unable to attend the reception, or who wish to take in the show more deeply, Clarity will also have a poetry event at the library on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 2 to 4 p.m., where they will read their poetry in the atmosphere of their art.

wishing it were NOT on Dec, 3rd when I (& many others)  will be at the Rockland City's Planning Board mtg. to express concerns about the proposed cell phone tower that might go up next to Pen Bay Acres' residents, Shore Village Apartments, & right next to Pizza Hut. If it goes up... then it could be next to anyone's neighborhood right smack dab on Rte. 1 like this one....................... *So sorry to spout this upset, here. I love Clarity's art, it's from the very Soul of Oneness.*
