Hollywood, Fla. — Clarissa (Chris) Holmes-Lyon, 72, a longtime resident, passed away Feb. 1, 2018

Born Clarissa May Fields in Rockland, she was a graduate of Rockland High School in the class of 1963, where, according to a classmate, “She was a lot of fun in school, and a friend to all."

She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Hilda Fields, brother Robert (Bobby) Fields, and sister Gloria Beal-Thorbjonson.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Lyon, of Hollywood, Fla.; sisters Betty Pease of Union, Rhoda Fields of Montville; brother Timothy Fields of Hope; former husband Randolph (Randy) Holmes, of Vernon, Conn.; and their five children: Robert, Amanda, Eben, Jason and Carey; as well as 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She loved taking her children with a packed cooler to Lucia Beach for the day. That’s how she got that tan of tans!

Her spirit could light up a room, she was quick with a smile, and was always ready for a game. Bingo, she loved bingo.

Tending bar at the VFW in Hollywood, Fla.,. was a love for her that many could talk about. Bar poker, bingo, lotto, 0-9’s and many, many stories some of us will never know. Eventually retiring to travel to New England to see her family.

Her spirit and light will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial in celebration of her life is planned for midsummer in Rockville on a date to be announced.
