Rockland — The city of Rockland and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee have postponed the formal grand opening ceremony for the new ice rink at Harbor Park to Sunday, March 3, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The decision was made because of the weather forecast for Feb. 24, which calls for a snow/rain storm.

Hot chocolate and baked goodies will be served.

The ice rink was installed by the city Jan. 25 at Harbor Park. The rink is free for anyone to use from dawn to 10 p.m., pending weather and ice conditions. Skaters must bring their own skates.
