Warren artist Wolfgang Busse’s “Rainy Day Rockland” is part of River Arts’ annual members show.

Damariscotta — River Arts on Route 1 invites the public to the opening reception for its annual member show, including work by Midcoast artists, Friday, June 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. Also opening with the reception is a solo exhibition by Searsport artist Sandi Cirillo, in the West Gallery.

This year’s annual member celebration includes an art supply recycling fundraiser, a good way to pick up frames or other supplies inexpensively, and the opening of a month-long raffle for a pastel by Suzanne de Lesseps.

The artworks by member artists on exhibit represent a wide variety of media and styles. Midcoast artists with work in the member show include Jean Byrd, Amy Cornell, Liz Donald and Leecia Price of Camden; Jim Nyce of Cushing; Petrea Noyce of Lincolnville; Kathi Peters of Morrill; Jeanette Phillipps of Rockland; Ann O’Hara of South Thomaston; Dianne Horton of Swanville; Linda Shepard of Union; Marie Bickford of West Rockport; Sherry Dec, Valerie Greene, Jean Kigel, Deborah Loughlin, Robert Macdonald and Joyce Steel, Joyce of Waldoboro; Wolgang Busse and Polly McGrory of Warren; and Tania Amazeen-Jones of Washington.

Cirillo has been a fiber/mixed media artist for more than 25 years. She focuses on the textural qualities of manmade and natural fibers, which she incorporates into her artwork. Cirillo is a retired art educator who gives many different fiber workshops in the Northeast and North Carolina.

The exhibitions will run through July 7. River Arts is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit riverartsme.org.
