Church supper to benefit hurricane victims Sept. 30

Union — The Missions Committee of the People's United Methodist Church, 31 Depot St., will serve a spaghetti dinner, complete with salad, bread and homemade desserts, Saturday, Sept. 30, at 5 p.m.

All of the proceeds will go to those who have suffered through the recent hurricanes. These funds will be distributed through UMCOR, a ministry of the United Methodist Church through the General Board of Global Ministries, whose goal is to assist the most vulnerable people affected by crisis or chronic need without regard to race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. They believe all people have God-given worth and dignity.

Cost is $10 per adult, children 8 and older $5, 7 and younger eat free. Maximum cost per family (two adults, two or more children under 12) is $25.
