Chili, chowder and book sale at Thomaston library

THOMASTON — Join the Friends of the Thomaston Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the gym of the Thomaston Academy Building, 60 Main St., for its annual Chili, Chowder and Book Sale. This year, there will also be a special showing of work by several local artists, including Ron Frontin, Doreen Dufour, Nancy Baker, Linden O'Ryan, Brandon Berkenbile and Lorena Stackpole.

The cost is $8 per person, free for kids younger than 10. Books are for sale for 25 cents to $5. Proceeds from the chili, chowder and book sale all go to the Friends of the Thomaston Public Library. For more information, call 354-2453.
