Rockland — The Coastal Children’s Museum, 75 Mechanic St., hosts a workshop on snow and ice presented by Brett Willard from Merryspring Nature Center Saturday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. Willard will share stories and do crafts and activities all about snow and ice. Come read a story, look at snowflakes under a microscope, and make paper snowflakes to take home.

Willard, originally from Burnt Hills, N.Y., has a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry. His programs are hands-on and all call on his deep understanding and love of nature.

This workshop is included in the price of admission and pre-registration would be appreciated in order to prepare enough materials for all children who wish to participate. To sign up for the workshop, email the museum at or call 596-0300.
