Dec 26, 2017
The Bangor Area Children's Choir

Bangor — The Youth Chorale (age 12 to 18) and Treble Choir (age 9 and older) of Bangor Area Children's Choir will hold auditions for new members during January.

BACC has just completed a busy and very successful holiday concert season, including a winter concert with repertoire ranging from 16th-century composer Lassus to The Wailin' Jennys; caroling at Homes for the Holidays and at Eastern Maine Medical Center; and three performances of “The Nutcracker” with the Bangor Symphony and Robinson Ballet.

The spring season will include the world premiere of a commissioned work by South Carolina composer Dan Forrest. Forrest is arranging a Maine lumber camp folk song for BACC, and the choir is especially grateful to the Bangor Rotary Club for supporting this endeavor.

BACC currently has students from 13 different communities in the Bangor area. Open auditions will be held Saturday, Jan. 6, at 3 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 225 French Str. Individual auditions also may be scheduled by contacting the artistic director at Additional information is available at
