Westminster, Md. — Charlotte I. (Moore) Fernald Fraser, 92, formerly of Camden and Bowdoin, passed away Oct. 30, 2017, while residing at Brightview Westminster Ridge, Westminster, Md. She was predeceased by her first husband, George A. Fernald, of Camden, in January 1987, and her second husband, Roy C. Fraser, of Bowdoin, in June 2009.

Born in Warren Dec. 12, 1924, she was the daughter of Percy and Ella (Wiley) Moore.

She was an active member of the Camden Seventh-Day Adventist Church for many years until moving to Bowdoin and changing membership to the Topsham SDA church. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith and trust in God to guide her through life's trials.

She will also be remembered for her love of the outdoors, her spirit of adventure, her wonderful cooking and baking and her love of family. She loved hiking, as evidenced by her climbing Mt. Katahdin for the first time at age 87. Her dream for many years was to see Scotland. That dream was fulfilled at age 90, when she did a two-week tour around Scotland with other family members.

She is survived by her four children, George A. Jr., of Maine, Mary of Pennsylvania, David of Maine and Joanna of Maine; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; she is also survived by a niece and four nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Harold Moore, of Warren, and a sister, Betty (Moore) O'Rourke, of California.

A graveside memorial will be held June 1 at Maplewood Cemetery, Lincolnville.

This is sad news for our family. Charlotte was a much loved babysitter of many Camden children and a wonderful woman. I shall pass this on to John. If any of her children read this post, please contract me on Facebook. George, Mary, David and Johanna I am so sorry for your loss. I hope to see all of you June 1.
