Changes to Thomaston board complete

Thomaston — At its Sept. 9 meeting, the Thomaston Board of Selectmen welcomed a new member and its Interim town manager.

Chairman Peter Lammert introduced Kara George to the audience as Interim town manager. She had been the town clerk before being appointed to the temporary position.

The town is advertising for a temporary town clerk/voter registrar.

New to the table was Diane Giese, who was elected to the Select Board during a special town meeting Aug. 27.

Also during the regular meeting, the board voted unanimously to change its regular meeting time to 6 p.m. going forward.

The next meeting of the Board of Selectmen is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 23.
