Chamber sets next legal series breakfast for May 24

Rockland — The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, 1 Park Drive, will hold the next in its legal series May 24 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., beginning with registration, coffee and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. Speaker Berney Kubetz of the law firm of Eaton Peabody will talk about cyber-security, exploring the practical and legal dimensions of data privacy and regulation in the United States with an eye for what businesses need to know.

Kubetz has successfully represented media clients in federal and state court trials in defense of defamation and invasion of privacy claims. He has won numerous trials for major national and local manufacturing companies in defending product liability claims. He represents banks and has won trials defending against lender liability claims. His litigation clients include insurance companies, real estate agencies and insurance agents. He also has a significant personal injury practice on behalf of accident victims.

Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for this event. Admission, which includes continental breakfast, is $10 for chamber members, and $20 for non-members.
