Warren — A house was struck by a car Monday afternoon, April 10, in a crash that police said appears to be alcohol-related.

At 4:20 p.m. Knox County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Scott Redmun responded to a crash on Western Road in Warren. The report came into Knox County Regional Communications Center as a car had hit a house.

Redmun arrived and spoke with the single occupant of the vehicle, Bridget Artibani, 32, of Warren. Artibani was driving a 2009 Ford sedan and stated she believed that she had lost the power steering in her car, which caused her to go off the road and strike the house, according to a news release from Chief Deputy Tim Carroll.

Artibani sustained minor injuries to her face and was taken to Penobscot Bay Medical Center. Warren Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.

The crash is believed to be alcohol-related, according to the chief deputy. He said because of the injuries to her face she was not able to be given a breath test at the scene. A blood test was taken at the hospital, the chief deputy said.

No one in the house was injured. Damage to the house is estimated at $4,000.
