Trail cleanup day

Exciting work has been done at the Snow Bowl in recent weeks. A section of upper Mussel Ridge has been dramatically improved with the clearing of trees and rocks, said Chris Christie, race coach. This improvement will allow increased training opportunities for the race programs and increased terrain for the recreational skier, he said.

However, there is work that needs to be done to prepare the Snow Bowl for the season, Christie said. A Hill Clean Up Day is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers should meet on the deck of the lodge.

There are a variety of projects that need to be completed before snowmaking begins. Volunteers are asked to bring basic tools such as clippers, rakes and anything to cut brush.
