Camden — The Camden Snow Bowl opened trails to the public Dec. 17, and skiers and snowboarders braved the snowy day to hit the slopes.

Snow Bowl Director Landon Fake said this the earliest season opening the mountain has had in several years.

The chairlifts were running and five trails were open to the public. Skiers and snowboarders had an opportunity to spend the day in the falling snow, before the predicted rain arrived on Sunday.

The Snow Bowl reopens Friday, Dec. 23, at 9 a.m. Information about the mountain can be found at CamdenSnowBowl.com.
