Camden Rotary Grant applications due Feb. 27

Feb 11, 2021

Camden — Nonprofit organizations in Knox County and Lincolnville can apply for Camden Rotary Club grants from now until Feb. 27.

Eight grants will be awarded during this application cycle: a single large grant of $10,000; two large grants of $5,000 and five small grants of $1,000 each.

Richard Householder, who chairs the club’s charitable grants committee, said that this year’s grants will focus on organizations that address basic human needs.

“Many of our neighbors are experiencing deep hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Householder said. “So we are focusing all of our grants on organizations that provide direct help to people in need.”

All applications are due by Feb. 27. Applicants must be 501(c)3 organizations registered to operate in Knox County or Lincolnville. They must also be ready and able this year to start the project for which they seek funding. For complete details about the grants program, visit camdenrotary.org and click on the Grants tab.  The club will announce grant awards this spring.

Members of the public are invited to attend the club’s weekly Zoom meetings at noon on Tuesdays. Contact Stephanie French at steph.griffinsg00@gmail.com for login details.  For more information about the club, visit camdenrotary.org.
