Camden Lions announce Peace Poster contest winners

Camden-Rockport Middle School student, Avery Wingate Weeks won the Peace Poster contest with his poster, entitled “Service People Standing on a Masked Globe.”

Camden — A group of Camden Lions met Nov. 12 at the clubhouse to judge the 2020 Lions International Peace Poster contest. This year’s theme is “Peace Through Service.” Lion Jerry Stone organized the Lion poster judging and Jim Morse, Camden-Rockport Middle School sixth grade teacher, organized this poster contest for his students.

Avery Wingate Weeks’ poster, "Service People Standing on a Masked Globe," won the contest and will compete in the Lion district contest.

Runners up are Ava Pease, with, "The Eastern Rainbow Mosque," and Mason Contakos, with, "Man Looking at Service Workers." All three students will receive a cash award from the Lions. Lions Sharon Flanagan and Karen Martin took photos of the winning posters.
