Camden — On Thursday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m., the Camden Public Library, 55 Main St., will show the film "About a Boy" (2002, UK/USA/France/Germany).

Arguably one of the best unconventional Christmas movies, this charming, emotionally rich comedy-drama was adapted from Nick Hornby’s bestselling novel. The critically-acclaimed film stars Hugh Grant as an irresponsible bachelor who, with the help of a complicated young boy, finally learns how to grow up. Fans of British accents and wit will also enjoy Toni Collette, Rachel Weisz and Nicholas Hoult in this Oscar-nominated film.

The film is rated PG-13 and runs 118 minutes. This event is free and open to the public.
