Camden — The Camden Garden Club will welcome Sharon Turner to the Camden Public Library as their guest speaker Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.  Turner is a certified Master Gardener, consultant, educator and designer based in Washington, Maine.  Her talk, entitled “Birds, Bees and Beneficials,” will emphasize the importance of restoring native plants to the garden to attract native insects and birds.  A recent report that bird populations have plummeted 30 percent in the past 50 years encourages gardeners to create landscaping that benefits wildlife.
