Augusta — The Camden Hills mountain biking team took part in its final regular-season races on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Bond Brook Recreation Area and “performed very well,” said coach Cy Schofield, as many Windjammers turned in superb times.

Nineteen Windjammers participated in the races split into three classes, as Rory Carlson, in particular, led the way with a second-place finish in the ‘A’ race.

The ‘A’ race was nine miles — three laps of the three-mile course — while the ‘B’ race was two laps (6 miles) and ‘C’ race one lap (3 miles).

As a team, Southern Maine Mountain Bike Syndicate finished first, while Camden Hills finished second and Kents Hill third.
