Camden Hills holds plant sale May 19, 20

The Camden Hills Regional High School horticulture & gardening class’ annual plant sale will be held May 19 and 20.

Camden — The Camden Hills Regional High School horticulture & gardening class’ annual plant sale will take place Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20 at the greenhouse on campus, 25 Keelson Drive, Rockport. The greenhouse is located in back near the loading dock area of the school.

The sale will offer vegetable and herb seedlings, as well as a wide variety of annuals and perennials. All plants are grown using organic practices. There are always new varieties, including heirlooms.

Saturday, May 19 the sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Six-packs and 4-inch pots are $3 each. Buy three and get a fourth for free. On Sunday, May 20 the sale will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Everything is buy one, get one free and the last hour everything is $1.

All proceeds support the horticulture & gardening program and school gardens at Camden Hills. Part of this year’s proceeds will be to establish an aquaponic system to help students learn about growing plants and fish together in a closed ecosystem.
