Camden Herald announces changes in leadership, promotions

Rockland — After working for Courier Publications newspapers for about 14 years, Camden Herald Editor Kim Lincoln has announced she is stepping down to spend more time with her family and explore other career opportunities.

Lincoln had worked for Courier Publications since 2003, serving as a reporter at all three of the company's newspapers (The Courier-Gazette, The Camden Herald and The Republican Journal).

She was promoted to assistant editor of the Camden Herald from 2006 to 2008, and she helped bring The Camden Herald back into production when it re-opened under new ownership in 2012. She also served as copy editor for both The Courier-Gazette and The Camden Herald, before being promoted in October 2014 to editor of The Camden Herald.

Her last day on the job was Aug. 8.

Courier Publications News Director Daniel Dunkle will take over leadership of The Camden Herald in addition to serving as editor of The Courier-Gazette.

Reporter Susan Mustapich will serve as assistant editor of The Camden Herald effective immediately.

Mustapich has lived in Knox County for 22 years and has worked as a reporter at both The Camden Herald and The Courier-Gazette in the past, covering Camden, Rockport, Lincolnville, Hope, Appleton, SAD28/Five Town CSD, RSU 13, Knox County government and the courts . She returned to the Herald in March 2016.

Sarah E. Reynolds, who has been serving as copy editor for The Courier-Gazette, is being promoted to assistant editor for that paper.

Reynolds has been with the Courier Publications newspapers since 2005, with a brief stint working out of state in 2011. She has worked as a reporter at different times for all the company's papers, and more recently as copy editor for the Courier. She has been a journalist since 1990.
