ROCKLAND — Plan to participate in the 3rd Annual “Fins, Feathers & Fur: Maine Coastal Wildlife Juried Art Show” this July. Kim Bernard of Rockland is the juror. Bring her your art that reflects Maine coastal wildlife, from a crab to a tern to a moose – what wildlife do you find fascinating?

Drop your art items off at the Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at 9 Water St. on Friday, July 26, between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., or Saturday, July 27, between 9 a.m. and noon. You can make an appointment if necessary.

Bernard will select items for the show on the afternoon of Saturday, July 27, for the exhibit that will open that same day from 4 to 7 p.m. Items selected are shown through the month of August. You can sell your art or display it.  Best in Show and People’s Choice prizes for students and adults are unique Friends of Maine Coastal Islands NWR t-shirts.

For more information on entry fees and forms, visit mainecoastislands.org, come to the Visitor Center or call 594-0600, ext. 5. All proceeds support the Friends group and the wildlife refuge.
