Waldoboro — The Waldoboro Word of Life Church will welcome back Scott Brunt for this month’s gospel concert Saturday, April 21. The 7 p.m. concert will be preceded by a 5:30 p.m. potluck supper.

Those who followed The Campbells will remember Brunt singing with the group beginning in 2006. He lives in Laconia, N.H.,  where he hosts the popular "Saturday Night Gospel Hour" on New Hampshire's Gospel Radio WVNH 91.1 FM.

Brunt’s passion for singing and performing started young, when he and his brother would accompany their father, Gary Brunt, to his concerts and sing a few songs with him. As a teenager, Brunt played percussion instruments with various worship teams and then began singing southern gospel in concerts on weekends at churches. He and his father formed a duet and traveled throughout New England, later joined by his uncle Bob Brunt, forming The Brunt Family Singers.

Scott Brunt is known for his deep bass singing voice, which stands out in a trio or quartet setting, as well as being a rich tenor in most of his solo work. He has recorded many professional gospel CDs both as solo artist and as part of singing groups.

The church is located at 41 Old Route 1. All are welcome.
