Brown’s in town for Rock City folk

Oct 03, 2018
Will Brown

Rockland — Will Brown will perform Saturday, Oct. 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rock City Café, 316 Main St.

Brown plays finger-style guitar. His finger picking and original song and tune arrangements, as well as interspersed anecdotes, should make for an enjoyable evening that will include Americana, folk and traditional songs and tunes from both sides of the Atlantic.

Brown has been involved with, and recorded with, many Maine musicians during the past 35 years. His folk music interests started with songwriters such as Roy Orbison, Phil Ochs and Ian and Sylvia. Fifty years later, one never knows what song or tune will pop up next in his sets. Variety is assured.

There is no cover charge, but tips in the basket are much appreciated. Food is available until closing. For more information on these and other events happening at the coffeebar/cafe, call 594-4123 or find it on Facebook.
