Brown Bag Lunch features Qi Gong

Tenants Harbor — Qi Gong is the topic of the Wednesday, Feb. 19 Brown Bag Lunch at the Jackson Memorial Library in Tenants Harbor.

Qi Gong is an ancient practice of gentle yet energizing movements designed to bring balance, flexibility and vitality to the mind and body. It can be done by people of all ages and abilities, and one of the aspects of practicing is that the exercises can be as gentle or rigorous as you choose to make them.

The instructor, Tim English, will introduce participants to a few of the movements that cultivate energy, build stamina, increase focus and clarity and promote overall good health. He always encourages a fun, relaxed environment where the group does not take themselves too seriously. In this way, participants get the most out of the practice without any feeling of self-consciousness.

The program is free and is from noon to 1 p.m. at the Library. As always, bring a lunch. For more information:
