Bridget Florance Carver

Loving wife, daughter, and sister, Bridget Kathleen Florance Carver, 44, passed away peacefully Jan. 18, 2013 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.

Born Oct. 20, 1968 in Hutchinson, Kan. to Patrick and Kathleen Florance, she moved to Maine with her parents in 1980 and attended school in Rockland.

Bridget had a beautiful voice and loved to sing while playing piano. Another of her passions was taking long rides with her husband through the New England countryside. She had a special gift with children; she loved them and they loved her. Although she never had the privilege of raising her own child, Bridget was always a mother at heart. She touched many lives and will be remembered for her tenderness and generosity.

She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Sidney Grace, and is survived by her husband, Michael Carver, her parents, her sister Molly, brothers Michael and Andrew, and step-children Michael and Cassandra. Bridget was loved by all and will be deeply missed. May she carry on in all our hearts.

Services are to be held at the Lisbon Free Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. The church is located at 29 Village St., Lisbon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lisbon Area Community Outreach for their birthday bag program; a program conceived by Bridget and close to her heart.

"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints," — Psalm 116:15.

I knew Bridget from high school. She and I were in chorus together in my senior year. I will always remember her beautiful voice and kind heart. My sympathies go out to her parents and family.

Bridget was a very kind and loving person. I worked with her for a long time while she was at Crossroads. She was a joy to work with and we had many fun times together both at work and out of work. Her laugh was infectious, she was always smiling no matter what was going on she never let things get her down. I remember all her stories about her family and how much she loved them all. She always talked about how proud she was of her brothers and sister. She had the biggest heart and always wanted to help everyone with all there problems.

I remember customers coming in and telling Bridget all their problems and she would always listen to them and give them her advise, she made everyone feel better before they would leave.

My thoughts and prayers for all of Bridget's family. She will be missed!!!!!

I'm shocked and saddened by the news.  She was so very young.  Bridget was a very good friend to me and my family for many years.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.  Bridget, I will always remember you fondly....your friend, Suzette.
