Breakwater office complex evacuated

Rockland — The Breakwater Marketplace office complex was evacuated Friday afternoon, Feb. 15, after a report of smoke in the building.

Fire crews responded shortly before 3:30 p.m. after the fire alarm activated at 91 Camden St.

By 4:30 p.m., crews had located a burned heat pump.

The office building houses the University at Augusta Rockland center, Jensen Pharmacy, the Courier-Gazette and other offices.

Am sure this evacuation went well even though it inconvenienced some and took an hour to find the source. Good job everyone!  USPS take notice.
