Botkins show sculptures, oils during tour weekend

Tenants Harbor — Botkin’s Art Studio will be open Friday through Sunday, Sept. 13, 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be participating in 2019 Touring Peninsula Art on Saturday, Sept. 14. The 2019 Touring Peninsula Art is an art tour of 20 open art studios, galleries and unique venues on the St. George peninsula.

Kay Botkin will be showing her granite sculptures, including her new "Wind Song" series. In this series a bronze cast wind chime bell is incorporated in the sculptures. In addition, she will be presenting her continuing series of "Glass & Granite" sculptures utilizing kiln-fired glass and/or inch-thick cast glass in the design. The tools used in the fabrication of the sculptures will be on display.

Ed Botkin will be showing several new works of realistic oil paintings depicting Midcoast Maine. He will also be presenting his new book “Maine From an Artist’s Palette,” which shows a selection of his paintings done over the past 15 years.
