Botkins share their art at Ocean View

Aug 06, 2014
Ed Botkin said in his Camden schooner oil “Coming About,” he wanted to convey the feeling of sailing, “the smell of the salt air — the sun on your back — and an ocean breeze going by.”

Martinsville — Ed and Kay Botkin will show their art work Friday through Sunday, Aug. 15 through 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ocean View Grange, 435 Port Clyde Road/Route 131. The public is invited to an opening reception Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.

This is the 10th year Ed has exhibited at Ocean View, and he will be showing more than 20 new works of realistic oil paintings depicting the Maine coast.

Kay is a well-known stained glass artist who has won Best of Show at the Stained Glass Association of America conference in Toronto and was selected to have one of her stained glass pieces presented at the “USA Stained Glass Exhibit” in Chartres, France. She has used her knowledge of glass to create a series of Glass & Granite sculptures that range in size from 1 to 4 feet tall.

Ocean View Grange is located on the right, three miles south of Tenants Harbor For more information, visit or call 372-6369.
