Rockland — A fundraising yard sale will be held Saturday, June 3, to support the Studio RED Travel Team, which is headed to Pennsylvania’s Hershey Park to dance on stage. The multi-family yard sale will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Studio RED, 143 Rankin St.

For the past six years, Studio RED dancers have participated in local and regional dance competitions and conventions, as well as performing on stage at Disney World in Florida.  The students, ranging in age from 5 to 18, work hard to improve their technique in ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, acro and pointe, and then spend several more hours each week rehearsing specific routines to perform.

This year, the Studio RED Travel Team auditioned and was invited to dance at Hershey Park in Hershey, Pa. Sixty-eight students will have the honor of traveling to Hershey to perform.

All of these opportunities would not be possible without the outpouring of support from community businesses and individuals. The Studio RED Travel Team has held multiple fundraisers to pay the way to Hershey this year, and the dances thank everyone who has financially and emotionally supported them.

Studio RED offers enriching opportunities in the performing arts, while remaining a family-based dance studio. For more information, visit vkstudiored.com and the vkstudiored Facebook page.
