The Belfast Bay Fiddlers

Rockport — The Belfast Bay Fiddlers will perform Friday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at the Rockville Community Chapel, 87 Old Rockland St. (off Route 17, behind the Green Thumb). A $5 donation is suggested.

The Fiddlers’ infectious repertoire includes jigs, reels, hornpipes, polkas and waltzes, performed on fiddle, guitar, mandolin banjo, bass and piano. These talented amateur musicians play traditional dance tunes from New England, French and Atlantic Canada, Ireland and Scotland.

The group evolved from a weekly jam session into a popular group that performs at regional festivals, community events, contra dances, schools and senior centers. The Belfast Bay Fiddlers have performed at New Year’s by the Bay, Maine Celtic Celebration, Arts in the Park and Harbor Fest in Belfast.

The non-denominational Rockville Chapel is the only public building remaining from the village of Rockville. For more information, visit and the Facebook page.
