Bay View Collection hires head chef, kitchens manager

Camden — Bay View Collection has hired Andrea Barbour as its head chef and kitchens manager. The group of  luxury boutique hotels includes the Lord Camden Inn, Grand Harbor Inn, and 16 Bay View.

Key duties and responsibilities of this position are to oversee the food and kitchen operations at all three hotel properties, with a primary role in ensuring that a high-quality breakfast, small plates and banquets service are consistently delivered to guests. The position is an ambassador for the service, presentation and flavors that are the hallmarks of the buffet and in-suite breakfast service and small plates menus at Vintage Room and The View.

Barbour attended the University of Akron and studied hospitality management. After moving to Maine, she began a career in culinary arts, working at several of Maine’s finest and most respected restaurants, with her most recent stint as sous chef at Long Grain in Camden for the past three years. Prior to that, Barbour worked as sous chef under Brian Hill at the award-winning Francine Bistro for more than four years, and before that as pastry chef at the Back Bay Grill in Portland.
