Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

Maine Sport Outfitters celebrates 20 years of hosting Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world! Hot on the heels of the Festival held every fall in Banff, Canada, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road.

With stops planned in about 550 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe, this year’s tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films from the festival.

Traveling to stunning landscapes and remote cultures, and bringing audiences up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2019/2020 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.

Join Maine Sport Outfitters when Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour brings the spirit of outdoor adventure to Midcoast Maine at the Camden Hills Regional High School – Storm Auditorium in Rockport on Friday, February 7th at 7pm, Saturday, February 8th at 7pm, and Sunday, February 9th at 4pm. Different films will be shown each night. Tickets are priced per show: $15 for adult and $10 for student.

“The best part of hosting the World Tour is being able to witness a community of film buffs and lovers of the outdoors come together to share stories, be inspired to set out on new adventures and learn about the mountains they love,” said Jeff Boggs, longtime manager at Maine Sport Outfitters. “Our first Banff film screening took place in 2001, (when the Strom Auditorium was brand new) making this our 20th Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour event.”
