Autumn comes to free adult art workshop

Oct 08, 2017
Falling leaves are among the subjects this month in Rockland Public Library’s adult art workshop series.

Rockland — Local artist Catinka Knoth offers drawing October's autumn themes, with a focus on drawing in color, 11 a.m. most Mondays in October, (no classes Oct. 2 or Columbus Day, Oct. 9) in the Friends Community Room of Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St.

With Knoth’s instruction and guidance, participants will create their own colored drawings. Knoth provides the classes, hosted by Friends of Rockland Public Library, free of charge and open to the general public.

Each week is a different subject: Oct. 16, autumn leaves; Oct. 23, fall scenes; and Oct. 30, Halloween pumpkins. For more information, call Knoth at 691-5544 or the library at 594-0310.

Knoth paints watercolors of Maine and whimsical animal scenes, which she offers as cards and prints. She also teaches a free weekly children's drawing class at Rockland Public Library, sponsored by Wendy and Keith Wellin. For more information about Knoth's work, visit catinkacards.com.
