Camden — During Christmas by the Sea weekend, the cozy Owl & Turtle Bookshop at 33 Bay View St. will bring together three authors Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. For more information, call 230-7335.

Liza Walsh, from the Rockport Public Library, will sign copies of her charming “Fairy House Handbook,” published by Down East Books and filled with beautiful photographs of fairy houses and what it takes to create one. Walsh will demonstrate some tiny, fairy, Christmas crafts.

Jeff Bowman will sign copies of “Island Friends,” the children’s book he and Jennifer York wrote with watercolor illustrations by Dawna Gardner. “Island Friends” shows how a little girl fills her solitary days along the coast of Maine by making funny people out of lobster shells. Bowman will display a collection of his own humorous lobster people and demonstrate how he makes them.

Also on hand will be the authors of “The Community Table: Recipes and Stories from Midcoast Maine,” a cookbook that benefits MCH Meals on Wheels of Knox County. It is filled with recipes and the stories behind them from famous local residents and restaurants including John Travolta, Tess Gerritsen, Nancy Harmon Jenkins, Richard Russo, the Hartstone Inn, Hawthorne Inn, Maine Stay Inn and the Thomaston Café. Photographer and author

Patrisha McLean has provided black and white photographs of some of the senior citizens who receive Meals on Wheels and a brief interview with each. The authors of this heart-warming book will provide cookies to munch.
