Author Ann Patchett to make first Maine appearance June 10

Bestselling author Ann Patchett makes her first Maine appearance on June 10 at USM, where she'll share the stage with Pulitzer Prize winning author Richard Russo, in a benefit for Wayfinder Schools

Bestselling author Ann Patchett will make her first Maine public appearance on June 10 at USM’s Abromson Center, alongside Maine’s own Richard Russo. The two will share a lively conversation beginning at 7:00pm, in a benefit for Wayfinder Schools.

Patchett is the author of six best-selling novels, including The Patron Saint of Liars, Bel Canto and State of Wonder, and is the winner of numerous awards, including the PEN/Faulkner Award, BookSense Book of the Year and the American Bookseller's Association "Most Engaging Author" award. Russo is the author of ten books, including The Risk Pool, Mohawk, Nobody’s Fool, That Old Cape Magic, Bridge of Sighs, Elsewhere, and Empire Falls, winner of the 2002 Pulitzer Prize.

Tickets for the event are $35 and are available at A second ticket price of $75 also includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a private reception with the authors, from 5:30-7:00pm.
