ArtWalk Waldoboro offers it all for September

Sep 10, 2019

Waldoboro — An exciting September ArtWalk Waldoboro awaits visitors! On Saturday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 7 p.m., Waldoboro celebrates the arts with special events at galleries, studios and businesses throughout the town.

See one of the “hottest” art mediums at the Philippe Guillerm Gallery with “On the Comic Side," an exhibition of comic art, a combination of popular, fine art, visual, and literary art. Artist Guillerm will be on hand to talk about this new contemporary genre. The Heywood Gallery hosts “Traces of Summer," a new ArtWalk exhibition of summer memories paintings by American realist Anne Heywood and guest artist Allen Bunker. The Waldoborough Historical Society Museum features a show of Lanie Cross’s photography, Medomak Arts has a new “Still Life” exhibition, and the Tidemark Gallery and Café hosts guest artist Andre Benoit’s whimsical wood constructions.

If your “arts” lean more toward the culinary, East Forty Farm, Barstow Farms Country Store, and Spear’s Farm Stand are the places to check out for locally grown sources. Add to the ArtWalk event list artist Pam Cabanas at the Custom House, Pinky LaRue, the Bug Tussle Annex, The Village Bookstore, The Waldo Theatre, Cider Hill Farm, Shelley’s Flowers & Gifts, and Morse’s Sauerkraut, along with Moody’s Diner, Moody’s Gifts, and The Narrows Tavern, and this celebration offers plenty to see and plenty to do.
