Artist chooses flowers as her subject

By Arts in the Park | Jun 15, 2014

A trained artist, Peggy Clark Lumpkins says “over the span of my life my most painted subject has been, and remains, flowers.” In 1987 she moved to Maine and built a garden and began to grow the flowers she paints, as a way of getting to know them better. From 1986 through 2000 her medium was woven tapestries, the subject still flowers; she returned to paint in 2001.

Peggy will be at Arts int he Park, Belfast with her beautiful paintings on July 12 and 13.
