Oil paintings by Carolyn Gabbe are featured this month at Medomak Arts in Waldoboro.

Waldoboro — October brings a harvest of options at Medomak Arts, the nonprofit arts center located in the village at 13 Friendship St./Route 220.

Oil paintings by Carolyn Gabbe of Nobleboro are on display all month. Birds, landscapes, and still life arrangements adorn her skillfully rendered canvases. The show will be featured during ArtWalk Waldoboro Saturday afternoon, Oct. 14.

There will be another Live Music Night Friday, Oct. 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. Nancy Jones and friends will perform; snacks are included and drinks are available.

The next day — Saturday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. — Marcia Kimpton will host an herbal tea-making workshop, followed by a tea party. Participants will learn to make their own blend of Chickadee Tree Tea to take home for themselves and gift giving. A $5 donation includes all materials; bring your own pint container. For more information, contact Kimpton at 832-6342.

On Tuesday, Oct. 24, Medomak Arts invites the community to the long-awaited opening of Susan Price's bakery in the gallery area.

And Libbie Winslow will lead another Paint Night Thursday, Oct. 26, at 6:30 p.m., guiding participants in an acrylic painting session of a seasonal scene. Suggested donation is $20, with all supplies included.

Medomak Arts, fostering community and creativity, is open by chance or appointment. For more information, call 832-4774.
