Art fair to raise funds for homeless animals

May 26, 2021

Thomaston — Pope Memorial Humane Society holds a socially-distanced outdoor art fair, "Art with Heart," Sunday, June 13, from noon to 3 p.m. This is a fun, all-ages event that features art for everyone—from collectors to kids.

This will be a socially-distanced event featuring more than 160 donated works of art in a variety of media. Some featured artists are: Peter Ralston, Eric Hopkins, Jamie Wyeth, Neal Parent, Bernard Langlais, Lyn Snow, Ronald Frontin and Neil Welliver. There will be a local artists section, a low-priced kids’ section and a handcrafted objects area. This is a (well-behaved, leashed) dog-friendly event; masks are required for humans. Each attendee will receive a free art print. The shelter will not be open during the event, but there may be special guest appearances by an adoptable dog or two.

PMHS is a 501c3 nonprofit animal shelter devoted to caring for and placing unwanted and abandoned animals in loving homes, and promoting responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of all animals. PMHS is located at 25 Buttermilk Lane. Please visit PopeHumane.org for information about adoptable animals and how to help.
