Anthony Lee & Associates Eyecare   Summer Vision Therapy/Orthoptics

By Anthony Lee | Jun 25, 2014

In addition to our exams and contact lens fittings, we are continuing to offer vision therapy services through the summer.  Especially with some youngsters that are getting some extra reading skills help this summer.  We have also been blessed to work with many post-concussion syndrome patients, trying to get them back into their daily routines.

I had a call from a patient that golfs this morning, wondering what type of sunglass to use.   Usually, golfers prefer an amber or blue-blocking tint because it adds contrast between the white ball and the greenery in the background.  I suggested staying away from a gray lens which is more neutral and dims all wavelengths of light the same.  Gray is good for overall brightness control, but does not do much to increase contrast. These are a few examples of how behavioral optometrists think outside the box for performance based visual needs and not just "how are your glasses working."
