Camden — The Fourth Monday Writing Group will present its annual Reading for the Public event Monday, Dec. 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Picker Room of Camden Public Library. The audience can look forward to fiction, essay, poetry and non-fiction pieces.

Each of the nine members of the group will read one or two brief selections of their recent writing. These readings often penetrate the writers’ protective shells and reveal something of their hearts, souls and sense of humor.

Cider and toothsome refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the reading. The Fourth Monday Writing Group is one of several ongoing groups made available by the Coastal Senior College. For more information, call Ken Keoughan at 563-6538.
