Camden — Alden Francis Pease, 20, died Feb. 21, 2014, as the result of an automobile accident in Somerville.

Alden was born March 8, 1993, in Rockport to Palmer and Michelle Pease. He grew up in Knox County and graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School in 2011. He was currently taking classes online with the University of Phoenix and was aspiring to get a degree in accounting and software engineering.

Alden was working as an office assistant at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Augusta. He had previously worked at D.H.H.S. in Rockland. Alden was a devoted and loving father to his baby daughter, Luna, and dedicated husband to his wife Dakota. Alden was eagerly awaiting the birth of his son, Alden Jr this spring. He was grateful for everything he received, and would help anyone in need. Alden was a problem solver and refused to give up until he found a solution. He set goals for himself and family and worked tediously to achieve them. Alden’s hobby was computers. He was always building, repairing or improving his and his family’s computers.

Alden had an infectious smile and made everyone around him happy.

He is survived by his wife, Dakota Pease of Camden; daughter, Luna Pease of Camden; son, soon to be born, Alden Pease Jr.; parents, Palmer and Michelle Pease of Rockport; sister, Alyssa Pease of Rockport; maternal grandmother, Faith Weeks of Camden; paternal grandparents, Harlan and Lorna Pease of Rockport; great-grandfather, Harlan Pease Sr. of Warren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his church family.

A service to celebrate Alden’s life will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at Hope Community Bible Church, 16 Church St. in Hope. Pastor Mark Stockwell will officiate. A potluck reception will follow the service. Contributions in Alden’s memory may be made to Bangor Savings, c/o Alden F. Pease Family Trust,P.O. Box 1387, Camden, ME 04843.

I did not know Alden but it is such a shame a young man with such ambitions and a growing family could be taken so soon!
